Réjean Pesant is one of the great classics of Quebec folk music. Written by Paul Piché and published in 1977, it quickly carved out a place in the hearts of Quebecers who aspired to self-determination. It has been covered many times over the past 45 years and De Temps Antan has pulled off a master stroke by proposing arrangements that show it in a different light, with a touch of bitterness that is completely assumed. The trio called on Eloi Painchaud to produce this magnificent interpretation.
